beyerdynamic Virtual Studio - Virtual Sound Plug-in you can download for free

beyerdynamic Virtual Studio - Virtual Sound Plug-in you can download for free

beyerdynamic Virtual Studio – Virtual Sound Plug-in you can download for free
At the Prolight + Sound beyerdynamic was presenting it’s free Virtual Studio software plug-in – Inspired by Headzone®, a 5.1 surround device that allows users to simulate various listening spaces and their speaker set-ups using headphones. Whether at home on the sofa or out at different venues – you can take the studio wherever you go. Expensive, time-consuming studio sessions are now a thing of the past.
Every sound professional is familiar with this problem: You have to take a variety of playback scenarios into account when working on new tracks or mixes. When you’re out somewhere or listening on headphones, it can be difficult or impossible to tell how a recording will sound in a different environment, e.g. on studio monitors, on a 5.1 system or in a concert hall. Instead of having to take your notebook to all the different locations, you can now simply use the beyerdynamic Virtual Studio plug-in, or bVS for short. This software plug-in is ideal for all home producers and amateur musicians who record and produce their music at home or on-the-go. For further information and the free download, follow this link…

Tours of Hamburg’s “Michel” using the beyerdynamic Synexis tour guide system

Tours of Hamburg’s “Michel” using the beyerdynamic Synexis tour guide system

St. Michaelis is one of Hamburg’s main churches and one of the most beautiful baroque churches in North Germany. It is a landmark of the city and one of the best-known sights in the region. Known colloquially as “Michel”, the church is a tourist attraction that is visited by many tour groups. Many visitors take the guided tour of the church, the crypt or the organs of St. Michaelis and discover interesting details about the history and significance of this place of worship.
These guided tours are now conducted using a beyerdynamic Synexis tour guide system providing 100 receivers. This allows several guided tours to take place at the same time without interfering with each other. In the crypt, a film is shown with the sound transmitted via a stationary transmitter on a separate channel. Due to the amplification feature, each group receives the information without the church guide having to speak so loudly that other visitors are disturbed.

Sagrada Familia equipped with beyerdynamic microphones

Sagrada Familia equipped with beyerdynamic microphones

The Sagrada Familia is probably Barcelona’s best-know tourist attraction, as well as being one of the most unusual and fascinating churches in Europe. Towering above its surroundings, it stands in the northern part of the city. In 1883 Antoni Gaudi was commissioned to complete a neo-Gothic cathedral that had been begun one year before. The church became his life’s work: he radically changed the plans and spent the last years of his life, right up to his death, on the building site. Even today, the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia, as the church is called in full, has yet to be completed, but it has grown to become an impressive building and total work of art, nevertheless.
However, it is this very spectacular architecture that constitutes such an enormous challenge in terms of audio technology. Gaplasa, beyerdynamic’s distribution partner in Spain, has succeeded in mastering this challenge.

beyerdynamic presented new wireless systems at ISE in Amsterdam

beyerdynamic presented new wireless systems at ISE in Amsterdam

Wireless communication systems are becoming more and more widespread and many people never go anywhere without mobile terminal devices such as smartphones. But this was not the case even just a few years ago. It is therefore all the more impressive that the German audio company, established in 1924, has more than 50 years experience with wireless microphones. As early as 1962 beyerdynamic introduced the first wireless microphone with its so-called “Transistophone”. Exactly 50 years on, in 2012, beyerdynamic created two more milestones in its wireless history with the Quinta wireless conference system and the TG 1000 digital wireless system.
The TG 1000 digital wireless system is primarily distinguished by its large, future-proof bandwidth. By cascading up to 12 dual receivers it is possible to operate 24 channels without antenna splitters. The first systems have already been delivered. For example, the system is already being used for the musical "I've never been to New York" in Zurich / Switzerland, and Cro took the TG 1000 on their Germany tour. The system has been officially presented to the European market for the first time in January at the Integrated Systems Europe trade fair in Amsterdam.

The name Quinta is the product range – Quinta stands for the 5th generation of beyerdynamic wireless conference technology. The future-proof system uses the latest technology, such as intelligent frequency hopping, an AVB interface or control via smartphone or tablet PC. It was used, for example, at the Formula 1 press conference in Hockenheim / Germany and has been installed in the modern conference room belonging to the broadcasting company Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg (RBB).

The Synexis System also resulted from many years of experience in the tour guide and interpreting sectors and has many different applications. For example, it is used for guided factory tours at Audi, hearing assistance in New Apostolic churches or for commentaries for the visually impaired at Fortuna Dusseldorf (German soccer club). Additions to the range, such as the new Synexis T12 transport case and the DT 4 disposable earphones have been presented in Amsterdam.

Quinta - the 5th Generation of Wireless Conferencing

beyerdynamic introduces Quinta, a new wireless conference system

beyerdynamic introduces the 5th generation of wireless conference systems, Quinta. This latest development is influenced by all the experience beyerdynamic has gained in the field of wireless conference systems.

The control unit of the Quinta system meets all requirements regarding operational safety, reliability or transmission security. There are three frequency bands (2.4 / 5.2 / 5.8 GHz) for the reliable wireless communication. The switching of the channels is either automatically or manually. In any case, frequency changes during operation are completely silent. The system already meets the latest regulations of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and can be integrated into existing or new building computer networks that comply the IEEE 802.1 IT standard (AVB). The numerous functions with which the meeting can be controlled, include the simple operation and configuration via Smartphone or tablet PC.

For the chairman, delegate and double delegate microphone units there are gooseneck microphones with XLR connector in four different lengths available. The solid housing, the most robust and scratch-resistant paint from the automotive industry combined with brushed stainless steel give the microphone units a high-quality look. Other details such as back-lit keys for dark rooms, inscription in braille for the equality of all participants or the programmable function button for the chairman play a decisive role. This is why the Quinta microphone units have already been awarded the Red Dot Design Award for exceptional detailed solutions.

In short, with Quinta beyerdynamic presents an attractive, reliable and future-proof wireless conference system which provides a variety of features and options, and meets various requirements perfectly.
