beyerdynamic Presents the CUSTOM ONE PRO Premium Headphones in white and the CUSTOM Headset accessory: A Professional Plug-in Microphone for All CUSTOM Models
Farmingdale/USA, January 2013 / CES 2013: The world’s first interactive premium headphones are now also available in white: After presenting the black CUSTOM ONE PRO headphones at the IFA trade fair in Berlin, beyerdynamic, the audio specialist from Heilbronn, Germany, is introducing the brand-new CUSTOM ONE PRO WHITE. The cool, silver and white design is perfect for the latest smartphones and tablet PCs.
But as with all the CUSTOM models, this style doesn’t have to be permanent: You can change your headphones’ look in the blink of an eye. The style kits, available as accessories, change the look of your CUSTOM headphones in a few easy motions – at any time, even long after the initial purchase. Headphone design has never been this creative.
With flexible tuning, even the sound is interactive: The CUSTOM changes its sound characteristics from a clear analytical sound to booming colorful beats and back immediately. And the new CUSTOM Headset Gear with a plug-in microphone turns the premium headphones into a premium headset. The CUSTOM ONE PRO always ensures optimal performance – for listening to music, gaming, Skype or recording tracks for your own audio podcast.
CUSTOM Sound Sliders: Easy-to-use sound tuning
The CUSTOM Sound Sliders is your tool for maximum listening customization: Flexible bass reflex vents on the ear cups change the sound characteristics in four stages. When the vents are closed, they keep the transducer membranes under strict control, which produces a streamlined, analytical sound. However, with every notch on the slider, the headphones add another layer of bass. The end user until can literally feel the air being pumped out of the headphones by the transducers.
The result is clear and defined bass performance of unimaginable proportions, primarily because there is no equalizer in the amplifier to manipulate the frequency. The CUSTOM ONE PRO releases this power entirely on its own, effortlessly and without distortion. The headphone can change just as quickly and be turned into sophisticated headphones for your home stereo system. Or a control monitor for listening in on a jam session in your rehearsal space. Perfectly in-tune with every mood and every musical genre.
CUSTOM noise isolation: integrated noise protection
An added benefit of the innovative Sound Slider: It seals off the ear cups when in the closed position, increasing the acoustic isolation. Noise pollution, such as droning airplane engines or traffic, is filtered out is no longer a source of irritation. What’s more, this incremental “noise isolation” is much more pleasant than electronic noise cancellation. There is no uncomfortable feeling of pressure against your ears and no additional batteries are required.
Velocity Drivers: powerful sound for every application
The newly developed 16 Ohm drivers from our professional line of accessories ensure a high degree of efficiency and a maximum volume of 116 decibels. The membranes are some of the lightest in the world and transform the power of the neodymium magnets into pure sound without distortion. Inefficient mobile devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs or MP3 players can now play in peak form, while this powerful drive teases the finest details out of your stereo system at home.
CUSTOM Style: Personalized design
The CUSTOM ONE PRO offers not only personalized sound, but also personalized design: You can customize the headphones via online (www.beyerdynamic.com/custom) with a growing selection of accessories. The rings, covers and cushions on the ear pads are interchangeable, as is the cushioned headband. The user can switch the parts easily by hand in just a few simple motions.
CUSTOM Cable: Headset for docking
The concept of maximum flexibility has also been applied to the cable, which will be available in a variety of lengths and models. The special locking device holds the cable securely in position, even when things start to heat up on the street or when DJing in the club. The new CUSTOM headset gear turns the headphones into an ideal headset: The flexible gooseneck holds a professional-quality microphone for more than just talking on the phone or with Skype. It can also record speech and singing perfectly. That should come as no surprise: beyerdynamic has decades of experience equipping studios and stages.
A special highlight: The microphone is removable and its gooseneck enables it to connect directly to the microphone jack on your notebook – for high-quality recordings at home and on-the-go. Once again, the flexible design provides maximum freedom and individuality. In other words, professional quality that is “Made in Germany” has never been as much fun as with the CUSTOM ONE PRO. Welcome to the world of sound styling!
CUSTOM ONE PRO WHITE and the CUSTOM Headset Gear are having their world premiere at the beyerdynamic stand at the CES in Las Vegas (January 8-11, 2013, Hall 1, Booth 21445).
