More color, superb sound: Three new in-ear headphones from beyerdynamic DTX 71 iE, DTX 101 iE, MMX 101 iE

February 01, 2011

Farmingdale, NY February 2011: Individualisation is the key. Modern entertainment electronics should comply with people not vice versa. This also refers to headphones, which come closer than any other hi-fi product to people who are wearing them. The new DTX in-ear headphones from beyerdynamic perfectly meet the requirements of this time.

The new DTX 71 iE and DTX 101 iE in-ear headphones series are an excellent choice for all MP3 and smart phone users to escape into music bliss. The DTX 71 iE with rugged aluminium housing can be supplied in two color combinations (charcoal-grey/gold and black/red) with an MSRP of $69.00. The DTX 101 iE in refined matt light metal will be available with a black, silver or red housing for an MSRP of $89.00.

Both operate with efficient neodymium magnets for powerful sound and stunning deep bass with the DTX 101 iE providing an extended response with and impressive detailed sound over the whole audio spectrum. In addition, excellent ambient noise attenuation ensures undisturbed music enjoyment.

MMX 101 iE (MSRP $99.00) is the third model; a multimedia headset for mobile phones, e.g. iPhone, Blackberry, HTC, or for the computer. It combines the sound advantages of the DTX 101 iE with a high-quality hands-free microphone. With a push on the button, phone calls can be accepted or finished, while the MP3 player will turn into a hold mode and continue with the programme from the position it was last at.

Using the supplied cable adapter, the MMX 101 iE can be connected to the jack plugs for headphone and microphone of a PC or laptop. In this way the headset can be used for phone usage by the computer, for example Skype or VoIP connections, or simply for playing multimedia networked online games.

For the high acoustic quality of the earphones, all three models are supplied with replaceable earpieces in three sizes, which ensure a comfortable and perfect fit. When the in-ear headphone is not in use, you can store it in the stylish soft case provided.

Available from end February 2011 (DTX 71 iE, DTX 101 iE) / end March 2011 (MMX 101 iE) at qualified dealers or directly from the manufacturer: www.beyerdynamic.com .

About beyerdynamic
With a pioneering spirit and the highest quality in demand, beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG in Heilbronn, Germany develops and produces first-class audio products. Even today, more than 80 years after the foundation of the company, headphones, microphones and conference systems are developed in Germany and mainly manufactured by hand.

With the development of the DT 48 headphone (1937), which, today, is still manufactured according to the same technical principle, the young engineer Eugen Beyer laid the foundations for the company’s success. Later beyerdynamic microphones became famous all over the world: The E 1000 ribbon microphone was used on the first Beatles tour in 1966. More and more international and national musicians and bands like Abba, Bob Dylan or Udo Lindenberg used the equipment of beyerdynamic in the seventies and eighties.

Over the last few years, especially in the field of digital wireless conference systems, the audio specialist developed exemplary products and new technologies. In 1998 beyerdynamic presented the world innovation: the MCW wireless conference system. The unique Revoluto technology ensures the company’s leadership in technology all over the world.

Professional headsets for TV commentators and headsets with digital noise cancellation for pilots and interpretation systems complement the current product range. The most recent references for engineers from Heilbronn include headphones for 5.1 Surround Sound (Headzone), high-end headphones with innovative Tesla technology (T 1, T 50 p, T 5 p) and headsets with the patented EarPatron hearing protection technology (e.g. SIS). With the beyerdynamic MANUFAKTUR the traditional company relies on custom-made design and underlines its position as a premium manufacturer.
