October 23, 2013

The Quinta microphone unit of the wireless conference system has been awarded with the German Design Award 2014 Special Mention, the highest design award in Germany.

For 60 years the German Design Award is given on the initiative of the German parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) from an expert jury of economy, teaching and science. With the Special Mention Award, projects are acknowledged whose design shows special aspects or solutions; an award that specially honours the commitment of companies and designers. This year the jury has given 100 awards from 1,900 submissions. The solid housing of the Quinta microphone unit with the particularly robust and scratch-resistant comfort paint from the automotive industry combined with brushed stainless steel gives the microphone unit a high-quality look. Furthermore, details such as backlit buttons for dark rooms and inscriptions in Braille to maintain the equality of all participants played a decisive role that the award was given. After the red dot design award the German Design Award is already the second renowned award for the Quinta microphone units. The elegant and solid design as well as the focus for special details is continued with the Quinta microphone units using Revoluto technology which were introduced in September complement the product range of Quinta microphone units.
