Quite appealing: beyerdynamic launches the "Mobile Headphone of the Year" as a Manufacture Edition with an extravagant Design T 50 p Manufaktur
29. August 2011
Farmingdale, August 2011: What do glove soft buckskin, elegant high-grade steel or the exclusive natural material Nanai have in common? They are combined to a headphone, which touches all of the senses. The look and feel of the new T 50 p Manufaktur from beyerdynamic is unique. So unique that each model is fully individual: The German audio specialist manufactures the mobile headphone according to customer’s requests.
Design according to your choice
The exclusive beyerdynamic Manufaktur allows maximum freedom of design. As with the online configurators of car manufacturers, the desired design takes shape click by click. From a diversity of colours and material combinations the customer can configure and order the headphone online (www.beyerdynamic.com/manufaktur) – for prices from 400 Euro, depending on the material and design.
Ear cups in trendy colours from creamy white to mauve and brown to olive green can be combined with leather covers for the headband and ear pads. Perforated buckskin is a reminder of a time when motorists used to wear racing gloves and gives the headphone a charming “Retro” look. Those, who prefer a more extravagant design, will select Nanai, the salmon skin leather. This exclusive material is also used in the fashion industry and features a typical structure.
Natural material with tradition
The production of salmon skin leather was developed by the East Siberian people of Nanai thousands of years ago and still works in harmony with nature today. The salmon leather is 100% tanned without chromium and it is free from allergenic substances. Suppliers are certified Irish organic salmon farms where the material is a by-product, which means that no salmon has to die for a stylish accessory.
Excellent technology
Technically the T 50 p Manufaktur is based on the successful T 50 p, which was awarded the EISA Award end of last year. A jury of chief editors from renowned professional magazines voted it European Mobile Headphone of the Year 2010 / 2011. Due to the Tesla technology, and a combination of sound-improving measures from beyerdynamic, it provides an enormous efficiency. Even when used with low-power mobile players such as iPhone or iPad, the T 50 p astounds with a high volume and a lot of details.
In the T 50 p Manufaktur this award-winning technology now meets a special design. The Tesla sound and the individual design can only be realised, because beyerdynamic manufactures the complete headphone by hand. Each model is produced at Heilbronn in Germany and therefore is a sonorous proof of the company’s philosophy “Made in Germany”.
From the 2nd to 7th September 2011, the T 50 p Manufaktur headphone will be introduced at the IFA in Berlin, in hall 1.2, booth 115.
From mid September 2011 the headphones will be available at the beyerdynamic online shop www.beyerdynamic.com/manufaktur.
