Mobile sound experience with great comfort

Undisturbed enjoyment of music on the go – the closed design of these on-ear beyerdynamic headphones effectively attenuates disturbing ambient noise and enables the powerful bass and detailed highs come into their own. This model fits perfectly and comfortably with its soft and smooth leatherette ear pads. The mic and remote allow you to control your music playback, take calls on Apple and most Android devices.

Clear elegant design

The simple and discreet look of the DTX 350 m combined with smooth surfaces makes a strong impression. The cables are flat, which does not only look good, it also avoids the cables from tangling up and mechanical vibrations are hardly transmitted. The angled stereo jack plug connects to all standard mobile devices with a mini jack socket (3.5 mm) and makes sure that the connected smartphone or MP3 player requires less space.

Quite light and quite small when required

Its lightweight of 131 g does not only contribute to a special comfort of wearing, it also makes these headphones a light companion. Due to its foldable design, the DTX 350 m makes itself small to fit into the supplied soft case which is ideal when travelling.

The reasonably priced DTX 350 m from Beyerdynamic stood out positively in the test. In the listening test, the high tones came into their own and the mid-range was largely uncoloured. These headphones offer powerful bass which is only slightly woolly to your ears – for the money, the DTX 350 m sounds shamelessly good.

The compact design (supplementary: from headband headphones) does not necessarily lead to cutbacks in the sound quality – the great Beyerdynamic DTX 350 m (…) is good proof of this.

[...]

Among the models with a classic headband design the Beyerdynamic DTX 350 m stands out with a good sound at an affordable price of only 50 euros.

[...]

The low-cost DTX 350 m from beyerdynamic stood out positively in the test. In the hearing test the highs had a good effect, the mids were widely uncoloured. The basses are powerful and only slightly spongy. For that money the DTX 350 m sounds outrageously good.

Test winner and price-performance winner with a good rating (2.34)

“Being really good” is hard enough with headphones, a real art, however, is “being really good and affordable”. The new beyerdynamic DTX 350 m mobile headphone demonstrates how this can be achieved: for less than 50 Euro the musical travelling companion from Heilbronn which is available in black or white, combines superior sound properties with a more attractive look and excellent wearing comfort. It can be folded even more space-saving so that you can take it everywhere. The microphone dongle integrated in the connecting cable is not only practical, but rather an exception in this price category. Therefore you need not pick up the receiver when phoning and can pause the mobile player regardless if it is Apple or Android, by pressing the push button and start after a call or skip to the next track.

Although the DTX 350 m is an on-ear headphone, it does not put pressure on the  ears with its big transducer systems: in conjunction with a low weight of hardly 130 grams and the pleasant ear pads it contributes a lot to the comfort.

[...]

The sound of beyerdynamic is extremely lively: its bass is powerful and very deep, but despite well-proportioned wealth it is never too thick. The sound of the DTX 350 m is very balanced neutral with a slight kick in the mids. This gives a pleasant directness, which we miss with many, even challenging headphones.

This headphone reproduces even delicate dynamic structures in music amazingly sensitive as well as some big hi-fi headphone. What is of special importance for the use with mobile players: Due to the very good efficiency, the DTX 350 m can produce with less powerful headphone outputs proper volumes. It definitely does not lack temper.

Conclusion: beyerdynamic DTX 350 m sound sensation for little money
Models such as the DTX 501 p or the almost legendary DT 231 PRO show that beyerdynamic has always been very strong in the range of inexpensive, surprisingly good headphones: The new DTX 350 m continues this nice tradition consequently and combines it with popular features such as microphone, remote control and a flat cable that does not tangle up. Especially impressive are its sonic features making it unique in its price category. There is a clear LowBeats recommendation for this.

All in all the beyerdynamic DTX 350 makes a good impression and in my opinion it is the perfect entry-level headphone for people with a small budget. It allows mobile music enjoyment, where you can hear the traffic in the background. The small remote control with integrated microphone and the flexibility of a foldable headphone support its advantages in mobile use. But even at home you need not make any concessions with the DTX 350 m, because especially in quiet surroundings the clear sound comes to its best advantage. Due to the simple design you can use this headphone as a discreet accessory or simply ignore them, as they cannot be the main focus.

Let’s come to the most important feature of a headphone: the sound. I can only join in the many positive test reports and user evaluations for the 350 p: The DTX 350 m also sounds incredibly detailed and balanced. It is a pleasure to enjoy music of any kind with it! The bass does not achieve the punch of a good in-ear headset, but it is always very clearly contoured and crispy – not too limp, but not obtrusive either. Since I have been testing this headset, I do not like my other headsets any more (...).

Whoever thinks that the DTX 350 m might sound tired, is mistaken: The music is reproduced quite vivid and I still discover new details in my favourite music, which I did not notice until now.
As you will find out the sound of the beyerdynamic DTX 350 m will send you into raptures. The comfort of wearing is also convincing: with its soft ear pads the 130 g lightweight headphone fits quite pleasant on the head. It fits tight, but does not press at all and this with my big head as well as with small children (...)

In contrast to the DTX 350 p the mobile-phone-friendly DTX 350 m variant is provided with a microphone and a button, which meets its purpose quite discreet: both worked with diverse smartphones without any problems, even some rather exotic models which tend to make problems with headsets. The microphone also worked fine (...).

Conclusion: The right priorities.

(...) the focus is on good sound and comfort of wearing making this headset a price-performance hit.
