90th anniversary edition of the
legendary M 88 TG

Vocals, bass drum, bass amp, cajón, studio

To mark the company’s 90th anniversary, we are releasing a limited edition version of our classic microphone.  The M 88 TG forms the basis for the moving coil microphone, which itself already marks a milestone in beyerdynamic’s company history.

Sound engineers have found the M 88 TG to be one of the best dynamic microphones and describe it as excellent in nearly every recording situation.

The M 88 TG is also suitable for capturing bass drums, bass guitars and brass instruments and is still used as a distinctive microphone for vocals.

Even in its early days, this classic microphone could be found on many stages around the world and, accordingly, had a roadworthy and also memorable design. With its fine-mesh grill and a hip retro look, the new version resembles the classic microphone. A “Limited Edition” emblem has been added to the front side of the body.

The combination of the unique appearance of the original with the modern technology of the new version, means that the M 88 TG 90 Years Edition perfectly combines new and old.
